It is not like they need to remake every Pokemon for every game. Does Game Freak not do future-proofing? Even Monster Hunter uses a base skeleton for most of their monsters, so they don't have to start from scratch every time. There are ways to make this easier for themselves.

Honestly, the graphics wouldn't seem half as bad if the animation was at least smooth. When everything's so choppy all the flaws stand out twice as much.
