>>57797669Pretty much this. That said, I think RSE, DPPt, and BW/2 were the peak of the series. Yes, I started with Red when I was a kid. I'm also a massive Gen. 2 fanboy, but I still think Emerald, Platinum, and BW/2 beat it out. RS and DP aren't that great, though.
