>>57808533STAB Retaliate, which after Herdier faints can OHKO most Pokémon available at this point, you can't have Protect by legit means by this point, so your best bet is switching into a weaker mon. There's also Crunch on the Herdier, which is decently strong for this point. Of course the game does give you the tools to deal with them. Pinwheel Forest literally has Timburr and either Throh/Sawk which are super effective, though the amount of grinding required to get them to a high enough level to be able to do considerable damage. There's also Roggenrola, which can tank everything except Crunch from Herdier.
