I have been working in some capacity on the 3rd Legends game, scheduled for a 2027 release. The game is going to blow minds and I now know that enough people in different departments and different locations have enough access to the same data for me to feel safe here. I will not be providing any visuals or credentials, nor am I posting this from my location or my laptop. I have no grudge, gain, or goal, I just think that this game is going to change how people view Pokemon and even through anonymity would like to be the first to break the scoop.
This game is called Pokemon Legends: Generation 0, it will connect Kanto, Johto, and Galar with heavy tie-ins to Hisuian and Alolan mythos.
The game's hub is the Crown Tundra, which feels massive and is heavily populated with a viking type culture. Your hero is a young warrior who has a psychic connection to Calyrex, with a new "Youthful Forme" that gives it a full body sort of similar in looks to Oranguru, as well as large horns.
This version of Calyrex can speak aloud and is revered as a wise sage to the people of the Tundra, who it tells of beautiful lands that exist far away. It guides a team of explorers, including the hero, to cross the Crown Tundra's massive ice bridge into these lands, which we'll come to learn are Tohjo.
The game is massive, and even though you keep reporting back to the Tundra, you will eventually come to develop the earliest version of Johto and Kanto. I don't know how they plan to market this one to kids, the gameplay is pretty difficult and complex, and it's very story driven.
The combat is kind of like a fighting game, where you're fighting as your hero, except when you recruit a Pokemon it will do the fighting by mimicking your moves on the battle field. There are "combos" you can learn that take the place of traditional moves. There are many tough battles using this mechanic, as well as environmental puzzles that sort of feel like Zelda or an open world take on HM puzzles.
