>>57844092>How have people been so viscerally mind broken by AI?I dunno man, it just doesn't make any sense. I remember when AI first happened, like before it was good, I tried to get it to draw things and it just couldn't really draw anything at all. Like, it could do vague swirls in the vague shape of a human if you told it to draw a person or character. Then Stable Diffusion comes out not even 1 year later, and it looks fucking GOOD. Wow. We always thought AI would replace menial labor because it couldn't do art, and then AI shows up and it pulls an uno reverse card and makes you realize that holy fuck, AI is first going to take over all the artistic jobs, even stuff like coding, and it's actually not going to replace the menial tasks like everyone thought/hoped. And it just gets better, too. Modern AI art is what, only 3 years old at this point? It can do hands pretty good now. It can make pretty good videos now. I think in another 5-10 years you'll be able to create your own AI movies via prompts, and maybe within 20 years you'll even be able to have an AI create (or "emulate") a video game of your own design for you.
And people are seething about this? I just don't get it. I think it's pretty cool. White boomer, btw.
