>>57822280My favourite Pokémon, Mew, is Genderless. Which I'm OK with as that feels fitting. Mew feels like a design that would fit as both a male or a female, rather simple and ambiguous, so it doesn't really matter in Mew's case. But then there's also the question of if there's only one Mew or if there is multiple, to which I don't exactly know, I like the idea of there only being one Mew in canon.
>>57822331This is a very good post.
I find it strange seeing a species of Pokémon treated like a single character. Of the Pokémon species without 100% Gender Ratios, I'm OK with either Male or Female for most of them.
>>57823105>Pokémon like Meloetta and Diancie are clearly designed to be female despite being genderless in-gameI do think some species of Pokémon should have different Gender Ratios. Meloetta and Diance should just be Female. There's Pokémon
>And several species have ratios not at all befitting of their design (IMO there should be no male Primarina/Sylveon/Scorbunny, no female Incineroar/Machamp/Empoleon etc.)It's OK for Pokémon that look cute/pretty or look strong/cool to be either Male or Female. But it's different thing for a Pokémon to be so feminine like Primarina, or be so masculine like Incineroar. Those Pokémon should be either single Gender species or have proper Gender Differences. A Pokémon's Gender Differences or lack thereof and the Pokémon's design should go well with each other along with if that Pokémon is a single Gender species.
