You really only go there for easy level 40 battles and level up within it, while also rematching the gym leaders, except with worse teams for some reason. At least the Tower/Treehollow used pokemon up to level 80 so it would still be tough if you go there somewhat into the postgame.
Again, you can like these since they're unique. It's just my opinion that, for reasons I listed above, that it no where nearly makes up for all the things gen 6 removed from 5, and pales in comparison to how much work gen 5 did to satisfy as much as it could from removing BF from Gen 4.
