Now, Hoenn's megas DID exist in XY's universe (M-Lati@s prove that). But Fug wasn't the "first" mega evolution, because the events of ORAS' post game didn't happen in the cannon timeline (displayed by ALL new Gen pairs and the remakes that present the story as originally conceived). the only remake to contradict canon, is the one remake that shoved the gimmick in to the remake, to make up for the missing rehash of the Gen. That's why its lore doesn't work and why the anime doesn't regurgitate it for the kids who weren't alive when ORAS was new.
