I mean, hell I'll discuss it if you want, you called me out (not plassfag), but the thing is I dun really care about megas (I will use M-Delphox, if she gets one) so what's to discuss? Plot notes are barren, apart from "the city's undergoing a period of renovation and we're caught up in it somehow", there's a battle league thing that's being hyped up for some reason, but again too little to actually wonder about (aside from maybe it's how we'll meet Gen 6 mythicals in the game), we know Zydoggo's shadowing us, clearly showing what we're muddled up in is serious enough to draw the protective force of Kalos out but again giving no hint as to WHY it's so dangerous or what even is the threat. Unless you wanna rehash old discussions, what's to discuss about the release date, other than it's 4 days off the OG XY release date in 2013.

Or, they're just not going to show up in the games, as they're not important to the games, nor was it began as an entirely different game, only to have to be overhauled and tied to a remake of an older gen pairing so kids would understand what was happening when they sat down to play like, how L: A was originally a wholly new unique project and there was no Sinnoh remake, as Game Freak were done with them until fan demand forced a faithful remake and the re-tooling of the planned project into L: A.

That's not even correct. It WAS correct of ORAS, but in BDSP's case it only exists because "hey, wait, we're kind of taking a risk..." by letting an experimental title take front and center with nothing else to back it up.
So they hastily commissioned ILCA, threw Masuda at them, and told them to shit out a glorified port of DP to take up the holiday release slot.
LZA's not in need of such a luxury because holiday '25 is going to be for another Nintendo game, and Pokemon is doing fine financially due to the TCG, huge thanks to scalpers ensuring that no matter how much stock they produce, ALL OF IT, LITERALLY ALL OF IT gets fully sold out, and normalfags don't care if physical TCG is inaccessible because they have TCG Pocket instead. Win-win, best of both worlds, so Pokemon isn't concerned with whether or not LZA flops, especially because Gen 10, Pokemon's 30th anniversary bash and first Switch 2-only title, is going to be announced on Pokemon Day '26.

Everybody expected new updates to DP that brought it up to current gen standards like we got with the previous 3 gens, not this failed attempt at being faithful. Except where it's a detriment because I guess forced EXP Share and Affection were just that important

They were finished, but kids HAD to squeal for them (again, the remakes were on the chopping block and studio had swung the axe, they were moving on). and it's happening again, anopther fleet of fuckwit children squeeing for a remake, proving to Game Freak phoning the next one in will still work and they can think of something better to do with their time than waste a 2 year devcycle rehashing what most of them started working at Game Freak doing.
