>>57854414to be fair, idk why DENA decided to do six months of gen 4 and 7, they destroyed their own hype. These sets don't mesh together thematically at all, Gen 1 into 4 in to 7 has no cohesive aesthetic. I've been a fan for life I'm not trying to genwar, it just seems like an odd choice and idk who they're trying to appeal to;
all my old Z/young Y friends are having a really hard time caring about the state of the game right now, despite loving it early on. The DPPt legendaries were way too powerful and powercreep ruined the vibe of the game
Opened some packs this week and its like... Yea none of this stuff can get off the ground fast enough to stop Giratina. Its game over before I even begin with any of these cards. I just want to use my favorites, I hate legendaries.
>>57854467perhaps. Maybe I am just old. I hoped the game would just stay really simple so that every set i could use the same stage 1 "haymaker" strategy forever with a 50% winrate , occasionally swapping out the face of the deck for flavor, relying on 70 or so damage per turn while seeing people's interesting gimmick decks that only pull off shenanigans half of the time. Unfortunately the fate of games like this is always cracked out meta deck domination with each set adding some new unimaginable horror into the brew until you've got misty/Palkia/articuno/Iridia decks that heal accelerate attack the bench and OHKO. I feel like Krillin against Perfect Cell against shit like that
>just adapt and get good faggotOR me and my friends can end our subscriptions and spend our time and attention on something else. I realize I'm being whiney I just think DENA doesn't "get" casual players. Theyre exclusively courting whales. (this is true for every free to play game ever made)
>>57854995huh. Maybe Gen5 actually has a chance then, they can whore out the player characters and Skyla
