>>57854593thanks for not chimping out on me. The legendaries (and the paths to getting them) do seem awesome, as does the Battle Frontier. i’m excited to get there
it’s just the rest of the game that i found boring, for lack of a better word. i thought i was going to love it (and i really wanted to) but it never really clicked with me, and im not sure what im missing
for example
>i couldn’t name any of the towns, characters, or gym leaders off the top of my head if my life depended on it. i just played it earlier today too>outside of Ralts and Feebas, none of the mons i’ve caught/encountered in the wild piqued my interest. none of the trainer-owned mons piqued my interest either. i still haven’t expanded my team beyond Blaziken, Gardevoir, and Milotic because i just haven’t run into a mon which made me think “i want that in my team”>world just feels plain and empty. i loved FRLG and thought id love Emerald’s aesthetic just as much but it’s just okay to me>i still haven’t felt a “sense of adventure” like every other game Gen 1-4 made me feelperhaps my expectations going in were too high. i also don’t really like using guides and playing games without going in blind (which means, outside of Feebas and the legendaries, i’m not aware of any mons besides the ones i’ve encountered ingame) and that’s probably working against me here
would i be able to ask what your favorite Hoenn mons are?
if i have some cool, harder to find pokémon to specifically hunt down i’ll enjoy the game a lot more. as it stands, i haven’t encountered anything that struck me as a potential team member, and i haven’t really wanted to hunt down any specific mons besides Ralts and Feebas
>>57854605i literally took this picture myself a couple months ago. Mind sharing the link to this supposed Reddit thread from 2017? kek
