You help her out on her journey/goal to establish herself in Hoenn, encourage her, make her fall for you, etc., the usual VN stuff. It would be cool to have her change clothing like in the actual games or you eventually you being the catalyst for her sexy sleeveless black sweater + skirt combo after becoming a "woman".
But what about "Ash" you may ask? Well like the Dawn VN you don't need to mention him by name at all, just 1 reference to having "admired" someone who help her in her journey and eventually (You) being the one to have made her dream a reality (becoming a top idol in Hoenn equal to Lisia and May). In fact, the Dawn VN references Ash a little too much and rubbed it in the MC a little too hard how DP Ash was basically a chad.
Anyway, the complexities of a VN about anime-Serena is probably why nobody has tried making one yet.
