>>57869173Not for most of the last five years. People have been holding up the pretense that it's for kids, but if we're being honest about things and people cope by saying "THINK OF THE CHILLEMS", they've been priced out.
Kids are not the ones driving around to different stores every evening hoping they catch a restock. Kids are not the ones waiting at stores 6+ hours before opening hoping for a weekend restock. Kids are not paying 2-3x MSRP for product because they're desperate for the dopamine hit. Kids aren't even going to afford paying for $15 single booster packs.
The irony is that a kid likely has other things to do with their time like hang out with friends, after school clubs, or they'll end up hopping on some other craze. Whereas autistic adults will have a level of dedication, and the money to finance it, that a child can not match.
Remember the late 90s, 00s, and most of the 10s where kids could just wander into a shoop on a weekend and buy a pack with their allowance? Those days are dead when you have adults chasing restocks and buying cases at a time, every evening.
