Yeah LGPE are sanitized, but if the issue by my definition was that earlier gens were primitive in capturing the themes, LGPE is far less primitive and would have been an opportunity to fix that if they cared.
Whatever, having forced myself to play it to grind out home pokedexes, I realized how fucking obnoxious that gameplay loop is, ESPECIALLY compared with Pokemon Go itself. People who sincerely wanted a Johto Let’s Go game are fucking idiots. I really hate LGPE. It’s only virtue, hypothetically, is being able to shiny hunt the birds.
