Because Seadra was THE bargain bin bottom of the barrel Water type in gen 1, even compared to shit like Seaking because at least that got Horn Drill which is cool.

As if any Dragon type is "forgettable" (whatever that means). The sheer prestige of being a Dragon type means any of them will have a core fanbase.

During the Gen 2-4 days, getting a rare Pokemon was often its own reward. Kingdra is no exception. At least among my friend groups who played.

Seadra is like an actual upgrade from horsea meanwhile kingdra looks like a downgrade they should've been split evo's cause why does it go from having two fins back to one and where are its spikes?

Yeah, nah. Start a dragon type thread in a month's time and see how long it takes for somebody to post Kingdra, without posting it yourself. That Dragon isn't the uber rape machine typing it was, coupled with other far cooler dragon designs and a trade evo to boot all just contributes to the fanbase's relative ignorance of it.

I actually used one in my recent crystal playthrough instead of feraligatr, because for some fucking reason feraligatr doesn't get waterfall. He was one of the top mons on the team (but not the star, that goes to jumpluff the destroyer)
