That there are no pokemon out there in the tall grass that give a shit about their offspring? They just let them wander around on their own and get captured by a stranger one day never to be seen again? Isn't it kind of messed up to just take a pokemon from their family and force it to battle for you? To be a tool that battles for you, and has to compete against other mons for a spot on the team just to not be thrown away or forgotten about?

How has it never happened that some punk catches a Nidoran and the mother Nidoqueen was nearby and beat the absolute daylights out of the trainer to save their baby? Or worse, in the pursuit of trying to get them back, also get captured and enslaved by the trainer.
