That's the thing with Kantopandering that so many people seem to not notice either because they're retarded or oblivious on purpose, it's always the same five same popular niggers.
And when you think about it it's the same with all the Regions. Always the Rival, always the Companion, always the Villain, etc.
It's REALLY rare when someone outside those get the shilling treatment. GENUINE shilling, not being popular with the fanbase, for example, Iono is the shilled as fuck character of Gen 9 while Rika despite being so overwhelmingly popular, and despite how hard they've gone on pandering to women, hasn't really gotten all that much in comparison.
You can count with one hand the amount of characters and Pokemon who've gotten organically popular through their own merits who then had their popularity capitalized on by the company, otherwise, the ones getting shilled are always the ones they decided to be the shillmon/shillcharacter of the generation.
