Firstly if Gold was in Ruby and Sapphire he'd only use Pokemon available in those games outside of the starters, so I actually think it'd look something like
>Typhlosion>Feraligatr>Meganium>Crobat>Donphan>WobbuffetWobbuffet is there to fill in for the role of Espeon as a cross-gen evo, with Hoenn only introducing baby forms of Johto mons Wobbuffet seems like the best choice.
Brendan's a little easier since there's a big Hoenn selection in Sinnoh, though I'm gonna try and refrain myself from using anything outside of the regional Platinum dex
>Sceptile>Blaziken>Swampert>Milotic>Gallade>AltariaMilotic seems like an obvious choice since it's a big Pokemon for both Hoenn and Sinnoh that also provides a decent challenge, Gallade is a cross-gen evo and would give him some duality with Wally and Altaria is just a nice choice to round out the roster, plus it gives him a fly user I guess.
