It has standard beaches and even Caribbean style beaches in the Key West region. North Florida has hills and dense forests. But two things that Florida lacks is mountains and snow regions which one anon said might not fly.
Texas is perfect as it has everything from mountains to warm water beaches, forests, deserts, grass lands, and it snows. The cities are pretty famous or infamous depending on how you see their history.
Colorado is cool but no sea. Louisiana is just small Florida. Good states would be California, New York, Alaska (no hot desert, but does have ice deserts), Montana (no ocean), Virginia, North Carolina, Maine (no desert), Oregon, Washington, New England states.
