Game Freak actually tends to be pretty good at individualizing Pokemon to reflect their unique attributes mechanically, so I'd be curious to hear examples of what you could mean.

It's not depicted as a living sun at all, it's a sort of "sun god" because it spreads its flaming feathers to heat up cold places much like the sun would with its natural heat.
Nothing about it implies its body is as hot as the sun, in fact it'd be kind of counterproductive for it to leave droughts wherever it went given its lore.

Lorewise they literally have no reason to mess with the space time continuum, in fact they were "created" to maintain it.
Near the end of the game you see Dialga/Palkia begin to make a new universe until the Lake Spirits intervene and break Cyrus's Red Chain that was forcing them to do it.

You guys forget the game is balanced for competitive too.
Outside of legendaries, pokemon on the weaker side get abilities like Drought and Drizzle because of how powerful they are. Volcarona is already quite powerful.
