In a vacuum, you have something like Mega Salamence, which feels like they made a C- illustration, said fuck it, and pushed it forward without thinking how the thing would look as a model, how it would animate, or how it would look like from literately any other angle.
But, there was at least, like, a thought behind the design of Mega Salamence, which is more than can be said of Mega Venusaur or Mega Aerodactly. Seriously, compare Mega Venusaur to Gigantamax Venusaur, it's night and day the effort they put behind the designs.
There's also a case to be made for a design that just flat out don't look good, like the Mega Lati Twins or Mega Manectric
Personally, my take is that half the joy of an idea behind something like mega evolution is seeing how much more animated they can be in combat, which makes any of the megas that look clunky moving the worst among them. So Mega Sableye, Salamence, Swampert, Slowbro, and Tyranitar are probably the 5 worst ones, with Mega Salamence taking the cake
