I'm not looking forward to the bandwagoners if that happens. They're already insufferable when GF released BW2 and they suddenly loved Unova simply because the old mons were shoved in there. They got even more insufferable over time as it gets closer to BW's turn at getting remakes.

I'll just point out Game Freak pitched and began development of L: A and even remarked how projects started at this particular time in the past had been remakes of older titles and they had no plans to make that project one, but remarked it was possible one yet got produced.
DBVW 2028, just as EVERY new Gen on a new system saw a remake for the young kids who weren't born when that game was originally released(FRL.G/GBA, HGSS/DS, ORAS/3DS, BDSP Switch).

And even that assumes another Kanto remake isn't on the docket in 2028, given the "10th generation, 30+ years of Pokemon" occasion.

Those improved the series though. With the exception of Gen IX, which was a step backwards, everything from Gen VI onwards has been better than everything that came before it.
