All of this perfectly matches with Mega Dragonite just being Dragonite again with some new wings, an orb on its tail, and a couple of feathers. That's how megas are designed.
What Dragonairfags wanted isn't Mega Dragonite, they wanted Mega Dragonair with everything they dislike about Dragonite removed and it was never going to be that because megas don't change that radically.
