I fucking hated Tera raids but now I'm forced to give a shit because I like (three of) these guys. What is the best stratagy for this, breed one Mon for each raid or focus on a one-size-fits-all?

Gacha games do this sort of thing all the time, and I've never seen one of these campaigns fail. Because really, if the company has to come out and admit that their game's dead and not enough people gave enough of a fuck to meet the goal, they just look stupid. Nah, even if the thing only gets kicked in the dick eleven times total, TPC has no reason to give the actual numbers. They'll use this to hype up Legends Z-A by going "Wow! Look how many millions of people are playing Pokemon! Don't you want to get in on this extremely popular global phenomenon?"

Back in Generation 7, the festival plaza would have global missions similar to this. Of the 17 missions, only 4 were failures.
I would not be surprised if all 4 treasures reach the goal thanks to the Switch's bigger userbase and players would be more enticed over a shiny than facility currency or rare candies and apricorn balls.

First of all it's a 5 star raid so just use your Raidon or Iron Hands or something. And secondly, who the fuck still breeds Pokémon? I haven't bred a single mon in SV and have half a box full of raidmons that solo 7 star raids and one box full of mons for online battles.

If you have Violet, Iron Hands wrecks it, as long as you don't take the Ruination at the start of the battle. Also, don't belly drum T1, drain punch three times to build tera charge instead (he shields after 3 turns, might reset stats too unsure), then after his shield goes up, belly drum and wreck as normal with usual IH strat (I beat it with no held item) but he does clear your stats again before end of battle.

Most are very useful. You have 3 intimidate ones agains physical raids, who will apply intimidate every time they die. You have the electric frog constantly reapplying Light Screen against special attackers. Gardevoir constantly healing you with Life Dew. Not to mention a lot of them can Paralyze or Burn the enemy.
All you need is to just rotate until you pick the one you want.
Honestly, if you can’t beat every raid by yourself, bar Mewtwo, you really just suck terribly at Pokémon

Easy carry with a Slither Wing, just get one with decent stats and spam Skitter Smack until you can Tera Bug then keep Skittering, debuffs will help others survive unless terminaly retarded (like a Belly Drummer without a healing plan). Use Sunny Day to trigger Protosynthesis and help Fire teammates, you can Morning Sun yourself if Ruination's dice roll picked you; last move can be Leech Life or Bulk Up but you won't even need those

Even with maxed out attack I don't think this would work out well because of tera shield which makes stat ups not be as powerful. There's also the ability for Wo-Chien which nukes your attack stat to half.

You only get to do it once per day from what I've seen, and it's not even once per region, it's limited only to Paldea. I usually do these special raids multiple times to get some drops.

The very first one was a failure. My guess is a sizeable amount of sold copies were intended to be Christmas gifts so fewer people were playing than initially assumed.

It also helps it's a 5 star instead of a 6 or 7 star (I'd not have bothered fighting it more than once, even with the "easiest" counters if it were higher). It's not as egregious to run multiple times, unlike some the other 7 Star raids.
