Everyone on the internet says that's precisely what you're not supposed to do but it's fun to get on the hype train after every couple of years for the upcoming new gen in the hopes that you'd see something, anything, that reignites your interest in modern Pokémon whether it be a new art style, a good new selection of mons, any of your older favorite mons getting a new form, or story because life is unpredictable and anything is possible.
Maybe Palworld put enough of a fire under their asses for them to try to earn their reputation as the one of the most successful franchises on earth. Maybe, there's some people on the inside that are fully aware that the games are not living up to their potential and want to do something about it. Maybe we'll enter a new golden era of Pokémon because in the same way that things can't remain good or even exist forever, things can't stay shit forever either. Maybe, just maybe, the teraleak was an inside job and/or publicity stunt meant to get people talking about Pokemon again that happened just so conveniently before gen 10. Sure, it sucks when you don't see anything that grabs you but if you always approach it with low expectations than you're ironically setting yourself up for more disappointment than less.
