know I can emulate, but I am thinking about trying to capture that magic of playing on official hardware again. I still have my old DS Lite, but not my SP or Game Boy Color. I have had bad luck with my cartridges, with few exceptions. I was an idiot and gave away my Fire Red copy to a friend that I treated like family years ago (that obviously didn't pay dividends) and of course we don't talk anymore. I regret not taking better care of my older Pokemon games. I know that if I played with people who weren't toxic, I likely would have cared after Generation 4 to keep collecting. I sunk so many hours into Gens 1 through 4 it's unhealthy. Am I better off just getting an Ambernic and revisiting these games?
