Video aside, those guys do make some amazing animations and music. I really love the music they used in the SMB3 animation. Tried to find the music they used during the intro section when the Koopalings were wrecking havoc and when they showed off the various worlds, but I couldn't find it. I suspect they did their own covers of those tracks themselves and I really wish they would upload them.

The authenticity present in their animations is something I've rarely seen outside a few videos here and there nowadays. It's a niche that feels like hasn't really been focused on ever since the early-2010s, probably because people either think it's cringe to put it in their work or they think it's too offensive for modern viewers, but it's something I've been craving for over a decade, and I'm glad there are more and more people online willing to make more art/music/videos/etc. that are more explicit in their expression of emotions and experiences. The way I see it, if you do it justice and are self-aware about the creepy/grotesque elements, it'll win people over eventually.

For some reason they originally advertised their SMB3 video as having 59 minutes, but then they came out with 21 minutes. I honestly can't tell if they were baiting or if they animated a good chunk of it and came to the conclusion "Fuck it, I'm not doing another 40 minutes worth just to pad this out."

It really bothers me how Nintendo is only now getting around to releasing official soundtracks for some of their games through their membership-only app. There are so many sound effects, voices, little jingles, etc. that never get properly documented/archived online, and it drives me crazy when I can't find a clean version.

Yes, but no. A not insignificant number of tracks are simply half or less of the original song followed by a bunch of musical waffle. At least off the top of my head.

Having said that, I'll throw in a few. One of the best Pokemon Center themes AND renditions of the main theme, and possibly the Battle Tower while we're at it? The Barry choice illustrates my point but I likes it. You can tell Kageyama is one of the regulars in a better environment for his shtick.

I'm doubting it, sadly. It was terrible at launch and basically saved by Covid-induced video game spending, as I understand it (I started playing far later) and while it's much better now in total content it seems to make "good for it's budget" money, not "Pokemon money". Ironically it DID just get a mode that would make for decent single-player endgame content literally a week ago.
