I don't find that to be a compelling example of creativity, because when you break it down it's just a dual suicide lead followed by passing baton pass boosts. That's uncommon, but I wouldn't say that it's that creative.
I think a better example would've been something like the surprisingly high usage of magmar and electabuzz during reg F, or G-Weezing's rise in usage after people stopped trying to make Regigigas work and instead started experimenting with other teammates.
