>>58070322In the 90's and early 00's when that kind of rad attitude was vogue, absolutely, but I highly doubt Pokemon would've went very far because no one would want to invest THAT much into a brand new original American cartoon and merchandise since everything from Japan would be inherently incompatible with Amerimon.
Would've just been seen as another relic of its era, and then once they try their hand at localizing Pokemon as-is, probably sometime into Gen 4 to help push DS sales, maybe the eventual Kanto pandering would've included the Amerimons somehow to mystify Japs with what localization did once upon a time AND tug at nostalgia boners for Americans.
