What, as opposed to 20 years ago and selling three different versions, another two tangentially related versions AND forcing a home console sale and two wholly unrelated games?
Yeah, not happening, they stopped selling a third visually similar game when games started costing $60 for a reason - they know only kids will want the thing, instead of kids and the committed. That DLC opens up the casual's wallets for 2nd year game sales better than "third version" games ever did is another. Easier to make two versions then DLC tweaked to fit the two versions than try and twerk three out of one concept.
