And the game does explain, it's an AU isekai with the player character being a random real-world human that got sucked into the telly. This is why Masuda said it was a reimagining of Yellow - it lifted the plot of Yellow wholesale, added new gubbins to actually make a paired game from it then recast the main character, rival and added the originals as NPC's that show up later in the story. Why does time bollocks filter you fucking children so hard? I mean, there's no excuse at this stage - we've got a confirmed multiverse (as if the very fact no two kids will play one game exactly alike, never mind each Gen launched with a paired game telling the same basic story but having fundamental difference to each other didn't already confirm that), the devs talk freely about their aims when making the things and I'm sure mummy taught you how to read a clock and tell the time, so why does shit like this filter you bitches this badly?
