>>58078767No it fucking wouldn't. Megas can be tiered individually, they are only "balanced" when the broken ones are banned.
Z moves are a bit dumb but it's only 1 turn, so they still look like child's play when compared to what came next.
Dynamax gives you double health and turns all your moves into Z moves for 3 turns. That cannot ever be balanced.
Tera basically gives you Protean (previously one of the most exclusive abilities, known for being broken on multiple occasions) in addition in addition to your prior ability and gives you access to 80 bp (120 bp with stab you now get) super-hidden power "tera blast" if you want it.
Making it require an item slot doesn't balance it, and it's still egregiously rich-get-richer.
Gimmickshit is not a substitute for good game design. Megas were just a digimon ripoff, Z moves were just a Yokai Watch ripoff. Dynamax is just megas+z moves for 3 turns, Terashit is just "what if every mon had protean (in addition to their current ability), also the fact that they made tera blast (after they nerfed hidden power to 60 bp in gen 6, and outright removed it in gen 8) is a complete and utter contradiction and should be enough to prove without a doubt that none of the old devs who worked on the old games have any involvement at all with this shit company anymore.
The thing is, any of these gimmicks, they all have extremely tedious animations on-cart. They look cool for advertising. But if I was actually playing the games? They are an active detriment to the experience. Legitimately all gimmicks are bad for gameplay. They're only good for marketing.
Anyways, Masuda LEFT. You do not owe nu-gamefreak a shred of respect. They didn't make the IP, they inherited the IP. Shilling nu-shitfreak for free here won't reward you any points.
