The only way to truly balance it is to use a rotation of 10 Pokémon through most of the game.

Sadly, this. You really got to have 2 parties to make the most out of it: One for story battles and one for cleaning all the optional trainers in the routes and having fun with the side features like Amie and DexNav.

everyone says the way you can get new mons with egg moves and stronger IVs was good but if anything that just made it easier. More exp from KOing all the trash and stronger pokemon to boot. Gen 6 is too flawed
