Whitney and her Miltank were never tough; you just tried speedrunning through the game and came in unprepared. You didn't even need to trade for the Machop to beat her.

Miltank is crazy strong for being an opponent that early in the game when most of your pokemon are probably still base forms. You're not gonna have anything faster than the cow, so it's gonna outspeed you and flinch you with Stomp which also deals good damage. Most players will be relying on their starters which are probably male so Attract will ruin them. Rollout will obviously sweep you if it gets going and then there's Milk Drink, every move on this thing is good.
Of course if you've playing Pokemon for 25 years and you know it's coming then you can deal with it, but pretending this was easy the first time you did it as a ten year old is a lie and doesn't make you a tough guy.

the people who have trouble with her are the retards who wasted time training 6+ pokemon evenly so they’re stuck with a team of six lv15 shitmons that can easily be swept instead of a single good lv25+ pokemon

Whitney is cool because she's great skill check. Miltank is the Minotuar or Matador of Pokemon. A lot of the gen 2 gyms feel like this and its great. Too bad pokespergs are too low IQ and have to grind.

Since we keep having these threads I dug out my copy of the guide you could buy as a kid. Things barely hanging on there, but it was next to my sly cooper, wild arms 3 and mario sunshine guide. Luckily the internet archive has a pdf of it so I didn't need to upload a shitty picture taken from my webcam.

So according to the official guide they sold alongside the game, this is how you were supposed to beat whitney.

I mean that's not wrong. Grinding solves everything in the main story, but takes the most time. It's is the lowest IQ thing you can do. X items at least require you to learn how stat boosts work and how your Pokemon perform in battle.

In a speedrun that's heavily manipped, using Leer would be better. Growl is shit. In a normal run where Miltank can Attract, flinch your ass, and heal itself, you almost always want to risk the Metronomes.

Nigga can't analyze anything outside of what he encounters for himself. You could've brought up any other bullshit like Selfdestruct, Perish Song or sleep and setting up on Clefairy is still less risky.

Gen 3 Treeko is so much worse than gen 2 Chikorita:
