I can already see them calking people poor for not buying a switch 2 and that version of the game. Not once have we seen Switch 1 footage im fact I remember people saying that the reveal trailer seemed unusually stable.
I always had poor hopes for the game performance wise until they announced it was also on Switch 2

What exactly is the battle system?

Arceus was just the regular pokemon fights, but with the stances gimmick added and you could run around.

Is it like that, or have they inexplicably changed it beyond recognition?

Now that you mention it who knows, for some inexplicable reason the trailers barely show it, they are like 90% shitty story no one cares about and 10% everything else. You'd think shit like a completely new battle system and new megas would take center stage in the marketing but nope.
