>>58107638Now in order to translate the claender and social links we need to figure out the narrative explanation that best translates to pokemon. This is surprisingly smooth if you keep it pokemon levels of simple. The calendar system is pretty much a time management system where you have a deadlines to reach a certain level of power in order to defeat a boss. This can be translated whole sale to something like:
'A major pokemon tournament is coming up in a year and you have to raise a team from scratch and win smaller tournaments to qualify.'
Thats a good basic start, and you can build the story depth from there easily. Next you figure out what you are spending the timeblocks doing. Training pokemon seems like an obvious answer, and also hanging out with other trainers for 'social links'. You should also be able to go exploring to catch new pokemon and other events like shopping, etc.
As for social links, they translate pretty nicely with befriending type specialists who help you better raise pokemon of the type they are experts in. So the more you hang out with the swimmer girl the better your exp gain, capture chances, and maybe stuff like damage and resistance would increase. Could also include things like learning about where to find certain rarer pokemon of that type, outfit and gear unlocks, new training excersizes, and possibly even a legendary associated with that type being able to be caught once you max out their social link.
So with a little wiggling its pretty easy to translate.
