Why not get a job? If a clinically diagnosed retard like myself can work my way up the corporate ladder of an IT company, then how come they can't.

What jobs? Nobody is hiring and for most jobs nowadays the pay isn't worth it. They're so understaffed that you end up doing the work of 2 or 3 people while still only getting the pay of one.

I'm nobody to say this, but honestly, it's kinda sad to see people reselling stuff they got just for participating in official tournaments like it's nothing. Makes me feel like a lot of the players there aren't even that attached to the brand, just the pure gameplay. You could replace the Pokémon in TCG or VGC with rocks and they wouldn't care as long as the mechanics stay the same.

Almost all of mine responded. Perhaps there's some difference in location. I'm in Australia. Here it's pretty easy to get a job. Scalpers are really common here and most seem to be on Centrelink (government benefits. They used to actually require proof of being incapable of working but these days just about anyone can get a pension, assuming they're a civilian. )

Isn't the point to ensure you or your family gets a massive pay out if something bad happens? That's how it worked for me when my dad died in a car crash. He set up car and funeral insurance. We got almost $100k as a pay out and the car insurance gave us a replacement car, though we sold it because it reminded us of what happened.

Scalping could be prevented in two ways
1. Just don't buy from them. They'll steadily lower the price and eventually be forced to break even or even sell at a loss (happened with PS5s back during covid).

2. Stores actually enforcing the per customer limits. Employees found ignoring the policy are punished.

Most people I've known have had the opposite experience. A guy I know had his home robbed and the insurance company gave him compensation for all of the stolen items and like 20% more.

I've had to sifter through years of random pictures to find one of her home computer to "prove" it was not water-damaged before the flood

That's exactly the case, it's why so many of them cry and bitch about having to buy games to get Pokemon. The games are just Pokemon dispensers for them, they have zero interest in the gameplay, setting or characters beyond the multiplayer.

Because Pokemon PvP is unique. It's one of the few turn based multiplayer games that actually works and feels competitive without ever feeling solved. The closest analog is Chess, but even then the dual reveal nature of which Pokemon you pick in team preview and which moves you pick on each turn differentiate it a lot. For all the shit and problems the single player games have and have had for a decade, the multiplayer continues to improve.

We only paid about 150 a year or whatever. The odds of any particular accident happening are generally quite slim. That's why they're able to give such big payouts. If they get thousands of people to give a $100 kr more a year, they easily make the money for one guy to get hurt.
