And BAM, cheaty cheaty with legendaries that win everything with a single attack, not even sleep power Heracross brought SPECIFICALLY to counter his darkrai did anything.
IMMENSE let down, at least let Ash go out fighting to the last mon like other regions, but no, he get the win of the century against the fated rival and loses vs a literal no name with legendaries that barely broke a sweat.
Unjust and Unfair.
And to top it off, literally 4 episodes later Ash is starting his journey in a new region, reset to being a complete moron, and Pikachu that just took down a Latios is now losing against a newbie trainer with his lvl 5 Snivy.
