Beedrill could work as a more 'mechanical' depiction of the animal. More "Spear"-like than "Beedrill"-like. More emphasis on the weapons.
Heracross becomes a completely different species of beetle.
I am not saying these are good. I said these "do something remotely original besides adding stuff on the Pokémon."
Megas should not exist.
