Jasmine, Morty, Bugsy, and Whitney have Scale world figures while Sinnoh only has Gardenia, Volkner
Jasmine and Whitney have deck boxes, and Jasmine consistently gets tcg cards
I'm going to be honest, I think characters like Norman, Flannery, and Gardenia really fell off in popularity where I think one could make the argument that Roxanne is now the most popular female Hoenn gym leader
Despite all the shilling the anime and tpc does, Korrina is nowhere close to being the girl from gen 6 the general populous want to fuck the most
Johto just has more game appearences appearing in the remakes, BW2, Platinum, Stadium 2 and the one puzzle game
Overall I would say Johto ranks above general popularity and relevance above Hoenn, Sinnoh and Kalos. Doesn't help that the gym leaders were absent in Arceus, and likely to absent again in ZA.
