For Gen 4-5, Wiimmfi exists and can give you all the event stuff without ever needing PkHex. It also allows online multiplayer and other things like the GTS.
And specifically for Gen 4, the GTS can be abused to get all the trade evos without trading the pokemon you want to evolve, you only need to trade a random shitmon.

However I don't know if an alternative to Wiimmfi exists for Gen 6-7, I have never searched for this.

Pretendo Network is working on it but I don't see them giving event mons

can't you just get a complete dex with a hack in pokemon sun and moon and just transfer everything there? although I guess the gen 1 and 2 pokemon wouldn't be the official exclusive event mons because I don't think there was any actual way to transfer them up to the newer games. unless there's some obscure way I don't know about like poke park or pokemon box or something like that. but at least you should be able to get gen 3 event exclusives that look legit as well.

I'll be honest, I don't understand hacking in event pokemon. I get wanting to experience special locations and gameplay like they included in event mons in the GBA/DS era. But event mons are cool because of the event they are associated with. If you didn't actually go to the event then its just kinda of like one of those novelty shirts you get from a concert that you didn't even go to. What is the appeal?
