I have no strong dislike for pokémon, let alone the Legends series though kid. I'm just pointing out how it's clear it's a tech demo, given L: A was to get used to building open landscapes and SV went open world and both were developed alongside each other and L: Z-A focuses on an urban environment, restricted to one cityscape and developed alongside Gen 10. The reasons are clear, they want to make the urban settlements better for Gen 10, so spent a 2 year dev cycle on a tech demo for building them. Didn't stop me ensuring I'd have my copy when it launched.

You guys misuse tech demo so much. Crysis was a tech demo, a game based on graphics and showing off what the engine can do with limited story and going out of the way to show off what can be achieved for no reason. PLA was more like a proof of concept. Focusing on a single idea just to see how it’s received with minimal or no surrounding features to see how the idea is received.
