It's obvious that she's obsessed with Maxie, but she's more socially awkward than anything else. Her mood whiplash in the Delta episode wasn't out of nowhere either. There was probably dumb shit going on behind the scenes after failing their Groudon mission, and her relationship with Maxie got more rocky. She was more carefree until it starred feeling like her life with Team Magma was in jeopardy.
