Each one had a legendary Pokemon as their partner: Lucius had a shiny Rayquaza, Rystal had a Terapagos, and Gibeon had a shiny Zygarde. Together they explored the world, and eventually came across an isolated Pokemon paradise that they called Rakua. But at the center of Rakua they found a mysterious pink crystal they called Rakurium which could drive Pokemon mad with power. Gibeon wanted to use the Rakurium, but Lucius disagreed, that shit was too dangerous. They came to blows, and Lucius forced his hand; he had Rystal's Terapagos use its cosmic power to seal away all the Rakurium, with him inside it. Rystal escaped with the dormant Terapagos, and Gibeon escaped with a sample of Rakurium. Many years passed...
Gibeon used the power of the Rakurium to extend his lifespan, and still sought the main host in Rakua, but couldn't break the seal without Terapagos. Meanwhile Rystal passed down the dormant Terapagos to her descendants, until it wound up with Liko, who finally awakened it. Liko joined a group of adventurers called the Rising Volt Tacklers, and met her new friends Roy and Dot on board. Roy's a kid from Kanto who found one of Lucius' Pokeballs, belonging to his Rayquaza. Dot is a livestreamer with a Nidorina costume avatar.
Together they faced off against Gibeon's faction, the Explorers, recovered Lucius' old team, and Rayquaza lead them to Rakua. Terapagos broke the seal, and then the explorers pounced. Lucius was freed from the seal, asking the three kids to face off against Gibeon and his shiny Zygarde. Zygarde got sick of Gibeon's shit and left, and Terapagos purified the Rakurium, obliterating it. Their job complete, Lucius and Gibeon passed on to the afterlife, joining Rystal. But suddenly...
