Will Pokemon ever make a mainline game about going to different planets, moons, and large astroids to find different alien Pokemon?

It would need a have a pretty good story to work because space can be boring
probably why game freak has found it easier to do alternate universes and timelines because the pokemon world is already alien to us IRL

They're not alternate dimensions. They're literally called Ultra Wormholes and reference being x amount of lightyears away. That puts them at different places in the same universe. So yes, they are alien planets.
