Wait the real question...Why he doesn't have a G-Max based on Kraken. Basically every galar mon has G-Max AND we don't have a Kraken (Tentacruel and Jellicent are jellyfish). Maybe even Kraken Octillery. Miss opportunity.

It's not really frail and it's not really mixed either. 80/90/80 are actually solid defenses. Grapploct seems to me more of a Gen 2 Pokemon stat distro. Solid distribution ratio though severely underwhelming stats. Here's Bellossom for comparison

118 isn't even bad attack-wise. It's just a 480 stat mon and like many Pokemon who don't clear 500 it's going to be a struggle without a fantastic ability or typing.
