I love him, though I think Game Freak made him because they wanted to save the "apple dragon" line from being awful shitmons in competitive.
I hope Flapple and Appletun get an evo to balance the whole line

Their Gigantamaxes, that also forshadows them both evolving into the SAME new mons in a future Gen, with who it evolves from only changing the eyes (Drooped if from Appletun, Normal if from Flapple) but being identical in stats, ability and moveset otherwise.

They do, the actual issue isn't Dragapult existing since it is a Psudeo/Late-Bloomer, the actual issue is SwSh making it (and other Pseudos) too easy to get too early on. But strictly speaking both can exist in the same game just fine if it was actually balanced (lol).

Hydrapple resembles GMax Flapple/Appletun more than Flapple or Appletun do.
I almost feel like Hydrapple was a scrapped design for their GMax.

The Hydra 'mon I've always wanted. Hydregion being an emo flower was the biggest letdown once we got the design. The extra heads and Fickle Beam are great gimmicks.

Actually good. The original line was okay, but hydrapple does the worm = wyrm thing so much better. It's cute and goofy like the other two, but the hydra aspect just completed the concept while adding a cool factor. A well rounded mon.
As much as I don't like SV the dex is pretty good desu
