I never hated these, they're some of the most polished games. Yes the lack of BF was disappointing but apart from that they're great. DexNav, the addition of Exp Share, Hoenn in general...I loved these, they're a great improvement of RSE.

All they need is Emerald's trainer rosters and a Battle Factory mode for the Maison and they'd be up there as my favorite games in the franchise.

The biggest problem with both ORAS and DP is that they're remakes of the base games and not Emerald/Platinum. It's less egregious with ORAS because RS has better story pacing than Emerald which needed like several filler moments for whatever reason and while Emerald has the Battle Frontier, most of its content isn't really fun because it's specifically grinding to get to the real content (a plague on most battle facilities really). A Battle Frontier that lets you actually fight the Frontier Brains without trying to flank you with their unfun gimmicks would definitely have been preferable

BDSP have no excuse other than Masuda is a hack fraud that can't let go of his past

I'm playing them right now, just beat daddy at Petalburg.

It is certainly much easier so far but that changes the focus away from the level grind and towards the catch em all grind. Still gives nostalgia.
