OP, I don't think you understand, the only way they'll ever be satisfied is if everything from Generation 1 was entirely retconned out of existence. Remember how all Paldean gym leaders only use old gen mons as their ace, no one cared enough to complain because none of them are from Gen 1, every generation is represented in Paldea's gym teams except for 1. Gen 5 doesn't have an ace either but at least there's Petilil and Beartic as team members. Why else does everyone bitch about the Johto gym leaders?

They're only shilled less than the Paldea 'mons right now because Paldea is the newest thing they can shill. If you consider ALL of the shilling done post-Kanto, nothing beats the amount of attention that was given to Gen 1. Sure, there's more than just Kanto here, but there is ALWAYS Kanto.
