Seems like a lot of time and work ended up going into creating Unown only for GF to do very little with the concept. It feels like there was supposed to be an entire subplot built around Unown in Gold and Silver, either as part of the main story or post-game. Idk.

I'm not too sure what more can even be done with Unown, even further what they're willing to do with them. It is kind of not clear how big of a deal they want them to be.

Giving them Legends Arceus's Hidden Hower mechanics is probably the best they'll ever get. At least it would give them a purpose in a singleplayer game.

They need to add more for all the letters in other languages, ass some Russian letters, some French or Spanish with the accents, some moon runes etc

Shit, I don't know, this is a hypothetical thread, we've always been able to figure out solutions that out GF is too stubborn to figure out.
Fairy type is included in the new calculations that determine what type Hidden Power is for these useless cryptic pokemon.

They are like the blocks of reality who built that girl dreamworld or something
you can also see them in the Arceus cutscene in HGSS, also in the Darkrai movie when Dialga and Palkia do their signature moves you can see a bunch of Unowns getting scattered from the impact

Also the best casual trainer fight in the series but that's unrelated.

Unown is a 10/10 concept & design and it deserve to be considered legendary. As a kid, I just assumed that they were weak as individuals, but if enough came together, they could become strong enough to warp reality like in the movie, so them being ass in battle didn't really disappoint me. But like other anons have said, Schooling would be a fitting ability for them.
